Ari for Zoom
Last updated September 29, 2026.
This guide explains how Ari’s Zoom app is added, used and removed. The app lets Ari’s bot join Zoom meetings that a Daedalus team member invites it to, so Ari can produce a transcript and notes.
Adding the app
The app is installed only on Ari’s dedicated Zoom account. A Daedalus administrator opens Ari’s protected setup page, follows the authorization link and approves the app while signed in to that account. Individual meeting hosts and participants do not need to install anything.
Using it
- A Daedalus team member adds the Zoom meeting link to Ari.
- At the meeting time, “Ari Meeting Bot” joins as a participant. If the meeting has a waiting room, the host admits it.
- Zoom asks the host to let Ari record. Ari records only after the host allows it, and Zoom shows participants its recording notice.
- When the meeting ends or the host removes Ari, the bot leaves and Ari prepares the transcript and notes.
Removing the app
To stop Ari from recording a meeting, remove “Ari Meeting Bot” from the participant list. To remove the app entirely, sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with Ari’s account, open Manage, then Added Apps, and remove “Ari Meeting Bot.” Ari can no longer join Zoom meetings until it is authorized again. Removing the app does not delete earlier notes; ask us if you want those deleted.
Support
Email [email protected] with the meeting date and link if Ari did not join, was removed, or you need a recording deleted. We aim to respond within two business days.
